If you like to keep you diet green and healthy, Chandler has got you covered. With many organic grocery stores to choose from, every neighborhood has their own selections. Three of the larger organic grocery stores in Chandler are Whole Foods Market, Fresh and Easy, and Sprouts Farmers Market.

Whole Foods

Although Whole Foods is a chain store found all over the country, they are passionate about making each location a genuine part of the community. Whole Foods focuses on providing quality organic food that is locally grown and as affordable as possible. There are local farms and kitchens that craft organic food all over Arizona, and Whole Foods buys their products. By focusing on the unique aspects of a neighborhood, Whole Foods gets involved with area food banks, shelters, and fundraising for nonprofits. Fresh and Easy has an organic and green attitude. Keeping costs low at Fresh and Easy starts with the infrastructure of the building; cement floors and LED lighting contribute to their cost-saving measures. Fresh and Easy encourages Earth-friendly reusable bags and giving back to the community by donating money to nonprofit organizations in towns where they are opening new stores.

Sprouts

Sprouts is based out of Arizona and specializing in farm fresh produce, although they offer an extensive selection of other organic and natural foods. Sprouts was voted one of the best grocery stores in Arizona. They offer as much organic and locally grown foods as possible, but they also offer a variety of foods from all over the world. Don’t see what you’re craving? Don’t worry: this is a small selection of what Chandler has to offer. But these trusted restaurants are almost guaranteed to give you a great meal in a nice atmosphere.

Kai Resturant

Kai is a five star, fine-dining restaurant that combines standard American fare with the regional influences of the Pima and Maricopa tribes. Featuring hard to find dishes like rabbit loin, goat, and buffalo tenderloin, Kai’s menu is packed with food grown locally by the Gila River Indian Community. Indus Village Resturant

Tucked into a shopping plaza on N Alma School Road (map), Indus Village is an Indian and Pakistani restaurant that features a buffet and a full menu. Reviewers noted this place for their homemade yogurt (made fresh daily), the goat and lamb dishes, and the Naan. Although some said the chairs were not very comfortable, it has been noted that the chairs actually came from Pakistan. Sometimes, Indus Village features music on the weekends. (Menu) 480-284-6011

Latitude Eight Thai Grill Resturant

Latitude Eight Thai Grill is one of the hottest restaurants in downtown Chandler (map). As suggested by the name, Latitude serves Thai food and reviewers especially liked the Spicy Thai Lettuce Wraps, Springs Rolls and Musaman Short Ribs. One of the owners, David, acts as sommelier: chatting with the tables and suggesting wines. Latitude has a trendy, sleek atmosphere while retaining a “come on in” attitude. (Menu) 480-722-0560

Cyclo Resturant

Cyclo is a Vietnamese place located on Chandler Blvd (map) that has been called a “funky, fashionable café,” by Phoenix New Times. The intimate atmosphere is accentuated by owner Justin Duong, who receives more good reviews that her amazing menu does. Some of the most reviewed dishes are the Pho Bo Vien and the Banh Xeo.
